Norwood Light Department is participating in the Municipal Light Plant Solar Rebate Program (MLP). The MLP process will be administered Energy New England (ENE). The solar program information, technical requirements and application forms for the MLP can be accessed on the ENE website.

The Interconnection Application must be completed and filed with the Norwood Light Department separately from ENE.  Norwood Light Department will review and approve for interconnection under the terms and agreements of the department’s Interconnection Policy.

Please note that any MLP Solar installation must meet NLD requirements as laid out in our Interconnection Application.  Specifically, the wiring configuration must include 3 separate meter sockets in order to accommodate 2 utility meters along with the ENE specified solar production meter.
